I am a Southern California Native and a Philosophy graduate from CSULB. Growing up, I can't remember a time when there was not a camera in the room. My Dad was always behind the camera shooting the family or recording one of my many sports events. I still remember the smell of the developing fluid in the garage when my Dad and brothers would be working on prints as I would watch over their shoulders to see what they were doing. When I was sixteen, I was hired by my Dad's Corporation to shoot their Holiday, Birthday, and Retirement celebrations.

When I began college, I began to take photography more seriously and studied Photography, Film and Electronic Arts, as well as my major, Philosophy.  In addition to developing a spiritual outlook on life through philosophy, I was also able to work with a handful of writers, directors, camera operators, and lighting experts who have each worked in the film industry for more than 25 years. 

My experience provides a background in both artistic and photojournalistic photography, as well as editing experience with AVID and Final Cut Pro systems, which are both used widely in the film industry.  Working as an assistant editor on location at CBS Radford in Studio City, CA has also helped me blossom as a production editor.

After shooting my sisters wedding, I started a small company called August Wisdom Video and began to work with clients throughout Southern California.  Indeed, I have found that documenting weddings is perfect for my personality. I get along with people very easily and love to capture the happiness that is inherent in weddings.  This experience has not only provided me with a working knowledge of what it means to be professional … it has also allowed me to become familiar with what people want and expect from their wedding service providers.

This journey has brought me full circle as I have decided to go back to my roots and focus on Photography. My business is currently undergoing an exciting transformation as I have expanded to offer not just quality, but convenience.  Our new services include Photography and Videography with discounts through our friends network of Disc Jockeys, limousines, makeup artists, massage therapists, and even Hula dancers for that unique event.  August Wisdom Video has transformed into August Wisdom Productions and to celebrate we are passing on great specials to our new full service customers.
